Quick Update
I hope God has been pouring out His love on each and every one of you! I just want to encourage you all to pray for your city, your state, and your country in this season, as you pray for your own home and needs. We need God’s kingdom to come! And here are just a few words from Proverbs to encourage us! “righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” prov-14:34. In this hour, we need to do our best to live righteously before the Lord! How rewarding will it be to know that by us living our lives the way God wants us to, we moved God’s heart to exalt our city and our nation higher than it’s ever been! Detroit needs to see the light of Christ! This state needs to be lifted out of the darkness it has settled in, and it is our job as the chosen and righteous light of our state to shine Christ’s light to all who can see! So keep our city in prayer, and continue to live righteously as the Lord guides you daily!

Hello and Happy New Year!!!
God has blessed each and every one of us with another year, full of experiences that brought us closer into His loving arms. I pray this was a time of getting to know our Father better!
But it is time to be brought into a new year! A year of hope and new life! I cannot wait to see what is in store for us all! I encourage you all to go into this year with your eyes fixed on Christ!
“1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” – Hebrews 12:1-2
I just wanted to send this email out to say how glad I am to have worshiped and prayed with each and every one of you! I am so thankful, and I thank God for bringing you into this ministry. I hope the Burn has been a blessing to you in some way this year. We will continue to do our best to serve you all, and to prepare a place where God’s presence can be found in the city of Detroit! Where His people can come at any time and meet with Him, and freely pray and worship Him! I pray that God brings you closer into His presence in this next year, and to a new and deeper place of intimacy with Him! Blessings and peace!
2010! HERE WE COME!!!
God is moving in our city!!! Keep allowing God to move through you as well! Keep the fire burning for your first love! Blessings! Merry Christmas.
Hello and blessings to all of God’s son’s and daughters!
here’s a quick run down of the rest of this month! We just had a burn October 9th at Evangel, and still have two more events coming up this month. October 23rd, and October 30th!
But before I go into that, I just really feel urged to encourage you to check out the rest of this website! Check out what the burn is all about and what we stand for! We really believe that through our nonstop prayers and our unhindered vertical worship that God can truly come and rest with us in our cities! Our cities can be changed through the prayers of the people and God’s presence being made known. We are already seeing this through our few little attempts! So be encouraged! Keep praying! Keep worshiping! Keep seeking God above all else, and see Him move on our behalf for our city
SUMMARY OF THE OCTOBER 9th BURN AT EVANGEL
This was truly a sign of God having bigger plans than anything we could ever imagine! I have been getting testimony after testimony from this burn! Something great was going on this night, even bigger than we probably realized. First of all, this burn has been somewhat in the works for nearly two years now. We have been trying to set dates at Evangel for quite a while. And finally, it lined up perfectly! Coming in to this burn, I was a little nervous. Since both Burn and Evangel put so much into this, and since Iwas all the way in Chicago trying to settle things in Michigan, I wanted to make sure everything was gonna go great. But, when I got to the burn (Late, might I add), the presence of God was so thick in there that all worry melted away.
Strange enough, this burn was abnormally large, but still intimate! That was key throughout the night. I think there were around 300-400 people who came, but since the sanctuary was big, there was still room to just sit and soak or dance or wave flags! Just an awesome environment to join with people from all over the metro-Detroit area! It was just awesome! Throughout the entire night, I felt that there was real breakthrough going on, both in the lives of the people at the burn and in our city as well.
I think I am just going to have to keep adding more to this! Because there is so much to be said about this burn!
Burn Detroit June Blog from Terrell Pierce!

Terrell Pierce
2 year anniversary of burn detroit!
To God be all glory and praise! He has been so good to us in these first two years! Since June 15th of 2007, we have been coming together to seek God’s presence and to pray for his Fire to burn deeply in our hearts and to spread all over this Metro-Detroit region! In our short two year history, we have held around 15 burns, offering up over 100 hours of prayer and worship to our Father! We have seen God work in such great ways! Surely, God has a purpose for this city, and a marvelous plan set for such a time like this.
Now I am seeing the necessity of God’s presence to be in our lives more than ever. I understand why David took every chance he could to get away from the business of his life and to fall before his King and seek God’s face. Because where else can we go? There is no greater hope, no greater peace, and no love than that which is found in the presence of God alone. Detroit needs to feel this love, this peace, and this hope. We need to cover our dear city with prayer and cry out for God’s presence to be felt even beyond these city borders.
I know today is not the real “New Years Day.” However, today marks the first day of this new year for Burn Detroit. So lets go into this next year with the faith that our prayers can move mountains! Lets go into this next year with an urgency and a passion to see Christ lifted up throughout all of Detroit! Lets contend for our city, as we pray without ceasing and intercede for our lost brothers and sisters! But most of all, lets seek God’s face, and develop a craving for the presence of God, where nothing else this world has to offer will satisfy. May God lead us through another year of life in the promises of His true and faithful Word!
We thank all of you for supporting us and joining the move that God has put into motion! May God bless each of you greatly! We look forward to burning with each and every one of you in the near future!
Burn Detroit April Blog from Jack Anleitner!

After April 3rd Burn
Jack Anleitner (after April 3rd burn)
Children have a way of bringing perspective. I was realizing last night, in the middle of Burn, seeing Terrell’s little brother just dance around, that there is something carefree about children. They’re okay with looking silly. They’re okay with having fun. They’re okay with not worrying. Its such a pure thing and the more I see it, the more I know that this is God’s destiny for me and all of God’s other sons and daughters. Just to be free in the grace and presence of God.What a beautiful thing!
I had gotten so bored, so ritualistic, that i forgot the joyful
expression that was in my heart to give. It kind of reminds me of the
story of Paul and Silas in jail. What did they have that allowed them
such joy to praise in the middle of tribulation? It was that wonderful
carefree revelation of the provision and presence of Jesus where even bars and chains could not hold back their songs. Its childlike praise. And in the middle of it, the jail shakes and the chains break and theirs nothing left but freedom in the presence of God. God, open us up to that joy and freedom again!
