Welcome to the Burn Byron Bay site. We are a community of love sick warriors called New Earth Tribe headed up by Phil and Maria Mason here on the most easterly point of Australia in the new age capital of our nation violently storming the gates of heaven for the complete release of His kingdom in our region. We are seriously passionate about penetrating the phenomena of postmodernism with the Truth and the new age with Power and Love. With our foundations firmly set in Intercession and a training equipping school called the Deep End School we are poised for and already experiencing a great outpouring of the spirit with signs wonders and miracles. We BURN in our furnaces and then hit the streets, the new age markets, new age festivals and our community giving out free samples of the kingdom with incredible results. The last festival we went to in Melbourne we saw at least 400 healings and countless numbers coming to Jesus.
About New Earth Tribe
As a community we have intentionally sought to follow the teachings of Christ by learning to lay our lives down for one another in order to see the Kingdom of Heaven established in the life of every disciple of Christ. Our community is built upon the foundation of the person and work of Christ who came to establish His Kingdom in the heart of every single person on the face of the earth. Jesus sought to establish His rule and reign through the ministry of the Kingdom.
As we endeavor to work together with the Lord in the advancement of His Kingdom we have purposed as a community to build our lives upon the foundation of what we call the Seven Pillars of the Kingdom Ministry of Christ. “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:11) This is the solid foundation that Christ calls His church to be built upon.
From its very beginning it was intended that New Earth Tribe would become a community that was built upon this solid foundation. Now, eight years on, we get to see what a spiritual community looks like that is built upon the Seven Pillars of Kingdom Ministry. We invite you to ‘come and see!’
The concept of the seven pillars are derived from Jesus’ own description of His Kingdom ministry as described in Luke 4:18,19.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”
Pillar # 1 Preaching the Gospel of the Grace of God
This is the ministry of preaching the grace of God in all of its fullness. Grace is proclaimed in the context of evangelism and in teaching the church. Preaching the fullness of grace sets us free from bad religion.
Pillar # 2 Ministry to the Poor
This is a ministry to those in need of basic essentials. It is the ministry of justice and compassion. We are reminded to remember the poor.
Pillar # 3 Healing the Brokenhearted
This is the ministry of inner healing. Jesus ministered the Father’s love to broken people, healing deep wounds of rejection and abuse.
Pillar # 4 Freedom for the Captives
This is the ministry of deliverance. Jesus commanded His disciples to cast out demons and to set people free through the power of the truth. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!” – Jesus.
Pillar # 5 Physical Healing
Jesus literally gave sight to blind eyes. This is a biblical motif for the entire healing ministry of Jesus. Jesus said “Go and heal the sick!”
Pillar # 6 Prophetic Ministry
Jesus opens the eyes of those who are spiritually blind. The prophetic ministry always imparts spiritual sight.Prophets are also called ‘seers’ and they are anointed to impart spiritual sight to others.
Pillar # 7 The Teaching Ministry
Jesus not only preached the gospel, He also taught His disciples. Those who receive the gospel are now clothed in the fullness of divine favour and the teaching ministry unveils this favour in our lives.
These ‘Seven Pillars’ describe the comprehensive nature of the Kingdom Ministry of Christ. Jesus came to minister all of these realities into our lives in order that He might redeem us and transform us into His own image. Now He calls His disciples to join Him in extending these Kingdom realities to the ends of the earth. This is the vision of New Earth Tribe.
About Phil and Maria Mason
Phil has been married to his wife Maria for 25 years and they have four wonderful children, three of whom are now adults. They live in Byron Bay, Australia; one of the most beautiful places in the world!
Together, Phil and Maria have pioneered a spiritual community in Byron Bay, called New Earth Tribe. ‘The Tribe’ recently celebrated its 10th birthday at the end of 2008, a month after Phil and Maria celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
Phil and Maria are also the directors of the Deep End School; a unique Kingdom Ministry training centre that commenced in 2003. They recently graduated their sixth group of students at the end of 2008. So far 60 wonderful students have graduated from the Deep End School.
Phil’s ministry has evolved over the past three decades. He has been teaching the Word of God since 1981 and as every teacher of the Bible would attest; the nature and focus of their ministry changes and matures over the years. In recent years Phil’s focus has shifted to the unfolding revelation of the glory of God in the person of Christ. In the 21st Century God is transitioning a faithful remnant of the church into a life-changing encounter with the glory realm of heaven. The glory of God has always been the destination of the Bride of Christ.
God intends to have a glorious bride at the end of the age that releases the fullness of the knowledge of the glory of God all over the entire earth. “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14)
Phil’s ministry is now almost exclusively focused upon equipping the church to transition into living in the glory realms of heaven in order to attain what the Apostle Paul called “the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:13) To this end Phil finds his greatest joy and fulfilment in revealing the Kingdom Ministry of Jesus and equipping the saints in releasing the glory of God through this extraordinary supernatural ministry.
Christ’s glory is revealed through the ministry of sign, word and deed. These three currencies of heaven are expressed through the revelation, the power and the love of Christ. It is Phil’s deep conviction that for the fullness of the glory of Christ to be revealed the followers of Jesus must to be equipped to minister in these three dimensions of truth, power and love.
