Report on BURN South Africa tour – March 2010 by Sean Feucht:

03.30.10 l THE ROAR OF A NATION l Johannesburg, South Africa
Last night, as a grand finale to our marathon tour in South Africa, our team spent the night in a cabin out in the “bush” where lion’s, hyena’s, jackals, cheetah’s, rhino’s, buffalo’s and every other crazy animal they have here roam free. It was an experience we will never forget as we drifted off to sleep to the sound of lions roaring and hyenas calling under the full moonlight. The soundtrack of Africa is something I could listen to every night as I believe it resounds and calls to the wild heart hidden in each of us. There is a ROAR coming from the burning hearts of this nation and it is a frequency from a culture that the world has not yet heard!

THE VISITATIONS
The amount of things we have packed into this nine day trip is truly unreal and quite supernatural. This past Sunday night in Cape Town marked the completion of 13 crazy, glory-filled, fiery gatherings within just one week across 4 different cities. And as I’m sure you can guess, none of them were short meetings either!! Every single night we were blindsided with full crowds of hungry, desperate and passionate people that were not willing to leave until they got what they came for. Most of the meetings ended around 11pm or midnight with worshippers still stuck to the floor and pulsating from the power of God. We had full-on encounters in the throne room, dramatic angelic visitations and the release of new sounds, rhythms and melodies. Although God intricately weaved a common theme and thread throughout these gatherings last week, every night was different, unpredictable and absolutely a blast! Despite our intense schedule, there is a grace and ease to ministry when it’s completely saturated with God’s Presence and totally dependent on HIM to show up. A few of the nights began with us a little fatigued and clueless on where to go or what to do. But in the place of waiting and resting, He taught us how to soar with him “on wings as eagles” (Isaiah 40:31)! Energy from Heaven was released, the sick were healed, the disillusioned were given fresh faith and expectation was implanted into the hearts of the bride of this nation to dream again! The hunger of the people of this nation truly put a demand on Heaven to invade and respond every night. God is so faithful and kept showing up again and again!

HOSTING THE WORLD
We truly arrived on the soil of this land in such a strategic and divine hour! In fact, there was an entire team full of 30 wild revivalists from Bethel Church in Redding, CA that were on my same flight! It made for an interesting and glory filled 16-hour plane ride where the entire plane was literally a “captive” audience to conversations, prayers and prophecies of revival and healing unleashed on the nation of South Africa! Not only is the authentic move of God accelerating with rapid momentum in several cities and towns across the nation, but the world will show up here in less than 70 days for one of the biggest multicultural celebrations this year. The FIFA soccer world cup, which will be the first ever hosted by an African nation, is expected to beckon hundreds of thousands from across the world within the borders of this country. The South African people have been busy building state of the art gigantic stadiums, new highway and road systems, infrastructure, hotels, bigger airports and much more as they prepare to “Host the World” (slogan used at most airports and billboards). The cities are abuzz with anticipation as the nations will soon converge here.

HOSTING THE PRESENCE
Even before the hordes of people descend here, I believe God is teaching His body in this nation how to host His Presence first and foremost. Our team has been teaching, encouraging and releasing prophetic words everywhere we go about becoming a resting place for the Presence of the Lord and returning back to the first commandment. This has really struck a chord with the people and the hunger to establish furnaces of night and day worship, prayer and mission is mounting. I have had dreams while I’ve been here of planes landing in Johannesburg from the nations and people stepping off the plane into an “atmosphere of encounter” where they experience the beauty and majesty of the Lord even before anyone has a chance to witness to them! The land would be flooded with the glory and fragrance! Wouldn’t that be amazing?
Our last night in Cape Town and during the “sunday service marathon” (5 consecutive LONG services), I was moved to preach one of my first messages (and ONLY message at that time..haha) God gave me when the Burn first launched out 4 years ago. As I shared about “Becoming a Bethany” while referring to the story in John 12 of Mary pouring out her finest on the feet of Jesus, people began to break down weeping all over the church in every service. The Holy Spirit then took over and each service began to “blend” somewhat into the next. Four separate young girls from different families approached me throughout the day to share an open vision and encounter they had the night before. All four of them had the exact same vision down to the same exact details, places and colors! They were all transported up to a Heavenly place and began washing the feet of Jesus while weeping and wiping His feet with their hair. It was if heavens confirmation was brought to the word that was spoken! I love it when that happens!

There is a mantle God has placed on this nation to be a “resting place” for all of Africa! I believe the fragrance of the extravagant, costly and inconvenient worship will be released to flood the “dark” continent (as the world refers to it) and radiate a brightness that will never go out! As I told every church in every city we visited, these massive state-of-the-art soccer stadiums are not really being built for just soccer! I have had several clear visions of worshippers from every race, tribe and tongue of this nation packed out in the stadiums from Durban to Port Elizebeth to Cape Town and beyond releasing a “roar” of love, devotion and praise that NEVER stops!!

THE ROAR
The roar that will soon take over the churches, streets, airwaves and culture is being unleashed from lovesick worshippers who are pursuing the face of God with crazy passion. We hung out with these people every night and they simply wouldn’t even leave the meetings when they were over! They could have stayed and worshipped all night long!

When my plane hit the ground 10 days ago in Johannesburg, I could literally feel the ground crying and groaning for this frequency of life and truth to be unleashed on the darkness, oppression and corruption of the land. Just as “all creation groans” (Romans 8:19), I also believe the people of the world are in for a beautiful surprise as God amplifies the sound of this nation!

During our last night’s stay way out in the “bush,” we could hear the lion’s off in the distance growling and roaring. The sound was so intense and low that it carried over the hills, through the trees and reverberated in our cabin! When we heard this sound, we immediately had to stop all conversation and pause while we sat in silence under the weight of the roar. We later found out that the roar of a male lion can be heard for up to 5 Kilometer’s away (3 miles)! When this king of the jungle lets loose, everyone in his territory is gripped with fear from the fierceness of his sound. Jesus is referred to as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah” in Revelation 5:5 and is roaring over this nation with the utmost fierceness and authority! Every principality and power shakes when He roars as they know their residency and power over South Africa has come to an end! His roar silences every other noise and demands attention and response.

Beyond just pretty worship songs and mimicking the newest and hottest worship CD’s, this is the sound South Africa is learning to release.
It is completely indigenous, free, abrasive and carries the weight of authority as the Lion of the tribe of Judah! As the 11 different languages, many tribes and vast cultures that make up bride of this nation fully come into that sound with true unity, the entire continent of Africa and the world will take notice!

The roar is coming….creation is eagerly awaiting….God is longing…

TAKE YOUR PLACE SOUTH AFRICA AND RELEASE THE ROAR OF FREEDOM AND AUTHORITY IN THIS HOUR!!!
