After two days of training, the nine of us set out for Clovis, New Mexico to release fire onto the Cannon Air Force Base. Our team stepped out and ministered in supernatural unity that night, and God sent a torrential downpour both in the natural and the spiritual. After a stop at the Grand Canyon, we went to Las Vegas, Nevada where we met some of our Burn family. Our hearts connected with theirs immediately as they shared their vision for the city. After pressing in for hours on the streets of Las Vegas, we experienced breakthrough as God poured out hope and joy, even in the midst of hopelessness and depression.

From Vegas, we went to Los Angeles to minister with a ministry that is part of the Dream Center called Hope for Homeless Youth. In Redding, we had a wonderful time meeting with Beni Johnson as she shared her heart for this hour and prayed over our team. From Redding, we headed to Chico to team up with the Chico Prayer House to pray for God to breakthrough in their city. Next, in San Francisco, we declared that a movement would come from that place that would change the culture of the youth of this nation, just like the hippie movement did years ago. We ministered on the streets and called for life and true freedom to reign instead of the counterfeit that is so prevalent in that region!
We ended the trip with a bang in Sacramento, the capital of California. We got a chance to burn in the capitol and declare the Lord’s will for our nation. During our last night of worship God showed up in an intense time of battle! God was calling us to step up to a higher level of warfare and ministry, and every member of the team and many people in the congregation responded. That night victories were won for that church family and the area.
The next morning, our team packed up and made the forty hour trek back to Oklahoma. It was an intense three weeks filled with struggles, victories, and lots of driving, but we set out on a mission to call the wilderness into bloom and we did just that! Glory be to God!

Burn Wagon Midwest
Trip Recap by Josh Cotts

The Midwest Burn Wagon was one of the most intense and anointed trips I’ve ever been a part of. From the hot and humid city of Ardmore to the cool Northwoods, God revealed Himself in a mighty way. We believe His purpose for this Burn Wagon was to release a uniting spirit, a family spirit, the spirit of Elijah to key families across the Midwest, but also to bring the body of Christ in this nation together under one head.
Our trip began in Ardmore, where God showed up and wrecked the whole place. We found ourselves singing, “We welcome You,” inviting the King to take His throne among His people. While God revealed to us that a spirit of pride hovered over the area, we came in humility, believing that God would literally obliterate that spirit. Aside from the warfare, God showed up…and that’s what matters most! Because wherever He reigns, the enemy can’t!
We then were led to Little Rock, Arkansas where we ministered at Living Stone Fellowship. As soon as we arrived, our eyes were opened to the spiritual atmosphere. So much grief, so much toil. Just depression…everywhere. During the service, God couldn’t help but pour out his oil of joy on this body! He was saying, “It’s time to get out of the pit!”
The majority of our trip was spent in Wisconsin where, I hate to say it and I love to, we went through heaven and we went through hell, but it was all what the Lord wanted. Division…that’s the only word that could describe that spiritual atmosphere. But thanks to the revelation that we had received during the Burn Wagon kickoff about how we only needed to create a throne for the King to sit on, we made it! Our team struggled with division several times while we were there, but every time, the Lord allowed for Himself to be glorified. Our dirt was brought to the surface and we were cleaned up. Aside from what happened with the team, God connected us to what we believe was a couple that God had special plans for as to what would happen in their region. We had the incredible opportunity of being able to live with them for a week, encouraging them, worshipping with them, and interceding for and with them. God was calling out Wisconsin’s destiny and fulfilling a prophesy that was made by Smith Wigglesworth about a fire of revival that would start from the Northwoods and stretch throughout the nation. We called out for those dry bones of vision to come alive and their destiny to be fulfilled!
The next stage in our trip was in Minnesota, where we met up with Josh Lindquist, leader of Generation Revival, to minister in a youth meeting. Compared to all of the other locations we had visited, this was like an open heaven, so it was refreshing for us. Ha ha! The youth meeting was awesome. It was full of just simply declaring over this generation their purpose and destiny. Not to mention that a lady had given a prophesy about a week before we arrived that was some of the exact same things that we had been singing that night! Fire!
We ended up in Arkansas, first at Fort Smith, and then at Bentonville. In Fort Smith, still…we had an open heaven. We ended up singing, “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it!” It was a time of more destiny! Gosh! I’m getting tired of that word because it’s all I’m saying…but I’m really not!!! At one point during our worship time, it had started raining, and the rain was coming down so heavily, that we could barely hear ourselves sing and play. So, we just stopped playing! As we sat there in silence, the Lord’s peace filled the atmosphere. It was reviving!
Then…Bentonville. Wow! Let me tell you…I’ve never felt so much fire inside a room the size of a master bedroom than I did there. God renewed vision for the fire of a Burn to return and we spent the last hour of it just loving on Him. He is such a good God!
Though at times it seemed we were walking against the wind, God came through every time. Not once did He leave us behind. We literally carried His presence and His throne into every city and region that we traveled!

Burn Wagon Gulf Coast

To say the Lord moved in a mighty way this summer would be an understatement. We are truly seeing with our own eyes a whole nation be awakened to the call of the King, and the best part – He’s doing most of the work. Our entire trip to Mexico seemed to be administratively sabotaged purely that the Lord might display the wonders of His glory. Many times we get all too frustrated when things don’t go the way we planned it, but our team began to embrace the beauty of this divine intervention in every city we set foot in.

This was Burn Wagon’s first international destination, and I can assure you that we see the application of this vision spreading like a wildfire. K.P. Yohannon wrote a book several years ago called Revolution of World Missions discussing the importance of raising an army of native missionaries to bring the Gospel to their own nations. We had the amazing opportunity to have 3 Mexicans from the Burn in Matamoros on our team! They travelled with us for 2 weeks across their nation, and everywhere we went there was an incredible amount of authority on their words and their worship. There is a sound rising in Mexico and the Latino community that cannot be silenced.

Our whole trip was motivated by a vision the Lord gave me over two years ago about the Latino community. In this vision the Lord took me up to look at the globe and began to ask me to point out all the areas of the earth that have experienced or are experiencing revival and harvest. As I moved my finger around the globe I noticed a great void of marks in Central and South America. The Lord began to smile as he told me His plans for this region of the earth. If any of you have been around or known anyone of Hispanic descent, you should know how passionate these people are about EVERYTHING! Whether its food, dance, or conversation, passion is a pillar in their ethnic design. The Lord showed me that the people of this community contained a song that carried the authority of the Levites that would bring great victory to the Bride and ultimately call Christ for his return to earth. It was so inspiring to see the truth of this revelation as we discovered hungry, passionate people all over Mexico worshipping the King with all their being.

Our team carried an anthem message to almost every city we visited – the principle of the “better thing.” In Luke 10, we find the story of Mary and Martha. All of us are familiar with the story, but the Lord began to highlight an important phrase in the passage. When Martha vents her frustration to Jesus about Mary doing “nothing”, Jesus responds to Martha by saying, “Martha, Martha. Don’t you see that Mary has chosen the better thing. And it will not be taken from her.” Wow! What we can learn from this is that there are two modes in Christianity, sitting and working/preparing. Both are very important (even Jesus recognized this), but the better thing is to sit before Him at his feet. Why? It is in this position that we begin to cultivate a relationship that inspires acts of love rather than acts of obligation. The Gospel has been so poorly portayed in the Hispanic community and has never quite separated itself from Catholicism and slavery. As one of our team members put it, “All the indigenous tribes were given two options: 1) Convert and live the rest of your life as a slave; 2) Die.”

We had the honor and privilege of sharing this great message with the people of Mexico! We saw countless people weeping in the ponderings of new revelation of the love of God for them. A nation was given the opportunity to sit, grow, mature and fall in love with a God who no longer measures them by the callouses on their hands but by the fervency of their hearts for Him. Pray, pray, pray for the Latino community as we continue to take this message back again and again. I promise you that this is the time for the great harvest and many, many souls are ripe for the picking. Pray that God will continue to flood the earth with the knowledge of His glory until we are all overwhelmed by His waves. God Bless!

Bradford has a reputation in the UK of being a very ethnically diverse and socially fragmented city, and it’s recognised by most people that there is a lot of need here. We’ve been burning here since May ‘09, and every month for 6 hours since January this year. We’ve a relatively small crew but God’s Spirit is moving, and presenting us with some great opportunities, some of which have been both surprising and humbling.

We were recently invited by a local ministry to worship and intercede for them as they journey through a tough season for them. They work to bring the freedom of Christ to drug users that want to be freed. The time we spent together, standing with them, worshipping with them and seeking God’s heart together was a real source of encouragement for the leaders of the ministry. His Presence changes things!

This weekend we were out on the streets of Bradford city centre with a prayer and healing ministry called Healing on the Streets (HoTS). The HoTS crew asked us to come and worship whilst they prayed for people for any that asked for it. We’d never done this before, but were more than grateful for the invite. The team leaders told us after that, although they were over-staffed, they were constantly praying for people as they came off the street throughout the two hours, and that two people were also led to the Lord that afternoon! Praise God!

We’re also building relationship with the Asian church here in the city, who have worship services completely in Hindi and Urdu. Through this connection we’ve made, we’ve been invited to take a slot of worship at a large Evangelical Alliance event in September, worshipping alongside Asian and Congolese worshippers that live here in the city. In addition to that, we’re really looking forward to hearing worship at an upcoming Burn on traditional Indian instruments, being sung in Hindi and Urdu!

by David Fritch

Never in my life have I heard the kind of radical, faith-filled language that I am now hearing everywhere I go. People are finally thinking beyond their local congregations and personal ministries and are talking about taking entire cities for Christ, and reaching entire unreached nations with the gospel in our life-time. I believe this explosive, language of faith has been ignited in the furnace of vertical worship and prayer over the last five years and will continue to grow as our view of Him grows. This “city taking” paradigm has been one of the first and necessary shifts that has taken place in the body of Christ to prepare us for the greatest days of harvest that we have ever seen. As our hearts have been stretched to think and dream God-sized dreams he is now releasing revelation, principles and strategies from heaven to get the job done. God has released certain “keys” that will unlock this end-time destiny and we are using those keys to a certain degree. However, there is more that God is saying and doing that we must enter into before the foundation is laid to release the kind of power that can take cities.

Convergence and covenant are two words that we are hearing a lot today and I believe these two words are containers of much revelation that God wants to release. From the very inception of the Burn the idea of 24-7 worship and missions has been a vital part of our DNA. It is so amazing to hear so many talk about the divine merger of missions and worship in the last couple of years!

I recently heard Mike Bickle preach the same message on the Convergence of Night & Day Worship and Missions from the pulpits of both Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship and the YWAM base in Kona. He mentioned that last year at the Call 2 All in Orlando that over 400 key Missions and Prayer movement leaders gathered to discuss role of 24-7 prayer in completing the Great-Commission. It is staggering to think about the explosion that is getting ready to happen in the earth as result of this union.

I am amazed at the kind of humility that is being displayed as we are realizing that we cannot finish the task the Lord has delegated to us without the rest of the body of Christ.

Recently, the Lord has been speaking to me about how Honor builds bridges to the rest of the body of Christ.

The Lord showed me that in every city there are churches that have unique and powerful gifts that usually reflect one of the 5-fold ministry gifts. For example, some of our churches are more prophetically gifted or evangelistically gifted. As a result of this unique call God has released a measure of revelation and favor for that local fellowship to move in that gift. Unfortunately the tendency has been to slip into spiritual elitism and judge other churches and ministries that aren’t moving in our particular gift and revelation.

The sad reality is that when we judge one another we close the door from receiving the powerful gifts that God is pouring out to them and as a result we stifle our groth and our ability to impact the city on the scale God desires.

However, honor builds a bridge. Honor says that you don’t have to be like me and know what I know for me to esteem you and need you. Jesus wasn’t able to do very many miracles in his hometown because they were offended by his humanity. They couldn’t honor him as the supernatural son of God because of their familiarity with Him as a man. Like-wise we can be so focused on the humanity of other’s in the body that we miss the glorious hidden treasures of the Spirit that are housed in earthen vessels.

On a practical level honor means focusing on the gift, and strengths of others in the body first and not letting their shortcomings, faults or differences keep us separated. This is why the Burn is so important! It is a worship movement but it is also a unity movement. In worship we prepare the way in the heavenlies but without unity we will never walk out the prophetic promises that have been released. We cannot do it alone! That’s the point! We need the rest of the body!

We will not fulfill our mission as the Burn unless we contend for a divine convergence of the multiplicity of gifts and anointings that God has delegated to men and women to reach our cities. The Burn is a movement that builds bridges and we cannot build those connections without honor. I believe this year we will see a supernatural wave of unity in our cities that goes beyond lip service to true and genuine covenant relationships. Out of these relationships we will emerge with one heart and mind to see our cities shaken with the glory of God!

Nehemiah walked this road and has much to teach us! He found a supernatural surge of faith to rebuild the ruins of beloved Jerusalem and then he unified a hopeless, hurting, scattered band of rebels to rebuild those ruins and revive a nation in 52 days! If we stop at big dreams and faith for cities we will miss it! If we stop at contending for breakthrough just in our own churches and ministries then we will miss it! We must unify, converge and covenant with one another and then nothing will be able to stop this force of the Body of Christ moving together as one man! Get Ready!

I was driving to work this morning and got behind a Chevy Trailblazer, and the Holy Spirit started to talk to me about trailblazing…my initial thought was fire and burning 24/7 paths throughout the world, but as I had a dialogue with God about it this a.m., I realized that He wasn’t talking about fire this time. “Trailblazing”, in it’s native meaning, had to do with marking trails in the woods. The “blazes” served as guides to those who came behind the trailblazing pioneer. The pioneer would etch marks in the trees with a hatchet, and then chop his way through the forest, letting those after him see his trail.

This really smacked me between the eyes, and I started to realize that God is talking to us about a Nazarite trail. A forerunning path. We’re making straight the paths, marking these trails in the spirit for others to follow. After a trail is marked in the woods, then it’s cleared for walking:

“Prepare God’s arrival!
Make the road smooth and straight!
Every ditch will be filled in,
Every bump smoothed out,
The detours straightened out,
All the ruts paved over.
Everyone will be there to see
The parade of God’s salvation.”
(Luke 3:4-6, The Message)

This is what’s going on with these furnaces; they’re paving the way for His glory. Think of it as laying out a highway…you mark the path, then clear the land, then pave the way. These 24/7 Burn furnaces are marking the path and clearing the land right now. We’re painting marks on the “trees” of our cities, saying: “This place is for Jesus – and here comes His army”. Then we clear out the sticks and stones, and level the ground. Then the 3rd stage is the paving…laying a structure and a foundational road for His glory to travel on…for the King to ride in on.

As these Burns continue, we’re going to see a transition from “tagging” what’s rightfully God’s to clearing out the debris in the heavenlies. People are going to get free and delivered en masse at furnaces and citywide prayer watches. There’s a spring cleaning that’s about to happen in cities. After God has completed that, the concrete will go in the ground…the rock solid Church that is unwavering will be poured out. The warrior Bride with oil in her lamp will walk out of her chamber. And the nations will have a road to travel on, a pathway to the Lord.

8 And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness.
The unclean will not journey on it;
it will be for those who walk in that Way;
wicked fools will not go about on it.

9 No lion will be there,
nor will any ferocious beast get up on it;
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,

10 and the ransomed of the LORD will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
(Isaiah 35:8-10)

What happens when you put nine unique, fiery, and passionate, young adults together for nine-months to give their lives, full-time, to pursue the “one thing” that really matters in life? Our journey as the Burn 24-7’s first pioneer, full-time internship is an experience that has forever changed the lives of those that have given their lives to this for the last year. However, this journey to the place of radical life-change was full of death to self, awkward relational conflicts, getting gut wrenching honest, facing fears, disciplining our flesh & winning and losing the battles against doubt and accusation. To be a part of this experience and to witness first hand the stunning transformation of these young adults has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Established in Love

I remember our first week of the internship, everything was so new, so exciting and everyone was so eager to give their all in every activity that we did—especially worship. One morning during worship the presence of the Lord was so thick that it was overwhelming. Many were weeping, and some were standing in stunned silence as God was revealing his love to us. At the end of worship each intern shared the most amazing visions, and words that God spoke to them. However, I noticed that one of our guys was visibly upset…almost mad.

He began to share his feelings of rejection and anger that he feels like he never encounters God like everyone else. As he was speaking I saw in my minds eye a picture of a veil over his heart. The Lord reminded me of 2 Corinthians 3:16 that speaks of the veil that covers the hearts of people whenever the law is read. In an instant the Lord said to me, “whenever anyone tries to approach me by living by the law, and thereby trying to earn my love it is as if a veil covers their heart and they can’t see clearly who I am or who they are to me.”

This ministry time was a moment that is forever ingrained in my heart and it was the beginning of a journey of understanding God’s overwhelming unconditional love for us even in our weakness and immaturity! When someone feels love it changes everything about them. It changes the way they walk, talk, and how the prioritize their life! It has been so beautiful to see the amazing transformation on the faces of these interns as they are discovering they are God’s treasure!

Humility displaces the Devil

About half way into the internship God began to deal with us about the sin of presumption and pride. As a result of this sin the general atmosphere of the internship house was heavy, apathetic, irritable and many began to complain that they felt burnt out.

One night during worship the Lord led us into corporate repentance for not listening to his voice, for depending more on our gifts and talents rather than operating out of a place of intimacy and anointing. We had become experts at having good prayer meetings, and ministering to others but had failed in our first priority—intimacy and dependency on the Lord. The spiritual attack during this time was extremely intense and many were struggling emotionally and financially in big ways. The day after we repented and realigned our heart to the Lord we saw instant breakthrough in finances—in fact several thousand dollars came in the next day. We also saw an overwhelming and dramatic shift in people’s emotions. People were lighter, they were reenergized, and full of joy.

From then on we decided that we would do nothing without consulting the Holy Spirit! There are too many stories to tell here of the healings, break-throughs and fruit that has come as a result of this—the main one being joy! Ministry and life is so much more fun when you do it with the Holy Spirit leading!

Healing from Hurts

During the last two months of this program the Lord told us that His agenda was “healing the heart.” We spent almost every other day learning about issues of the heart and how we develop bad life-patterns as a result of our hurt and pain. During this time God gently removed all of our “band-aids” and the things we have used to avoid, cover and numb the pain as he gently ministered to the deep places of our hearts.

Deep issues of un-forgiveness, bitterness, self-hatred, fear and depression seemed to almost instantly break off of people as God set them free from the shame of their past. As God has been healing the interns many of them have said that many things we taught at the beginning of the year they never comprehended until God healed their heart.

From Law to Love

During the last month of the internship God has been teaching us not only to receive his unconditional love and grace in our weakness but to also learn to love each other with this same kind of grace. I believe the only way to have effective relationship in this life is to be full of grace. Grace means that we are no longer concerned about punishing people for their shortcomings or for falling short of our expectations but that we are more concerned about our relationship with them. How do relationships work outside of the law—outside of having to punish people when they fail, or fall short of our expectations?

If you transgress me and I punish you then I am saying I am the one in control of the relationship. But under grace if you transgress me, and it’s not my responsibility to punish you or change you then we free the person to be convicted by the Holy Spirit, take responsibility for their own actions and to deal with the consequences of their sin with integrity. One of the greatest freedoms we have experienced is the being liberated from the lie that we can change or control anyone! We can’t! So they have to be responsible to change themselves. We are only at the beginning of this journey but our love and respect for each other is escalating!

On May 28, nine-radically transformed young adults will make history as they become the first full-time Burn 24-7 intern graduates. The best is yet to come! If you’d like to send a word of congratulations you can go to www.burningonesonline.com and leave a short message!

It has been one insanely wild, beautiful and monumental last month.

As usual, words and blogs seem ever so dull to articulate and express the explosion of fire and faith that we are witnessing catch communities, cities and nations ablaze all over the world. I feel there is a depth to the move of God this year that I have not felt before within our movement. The eyes of our leaders are not just fixed on the one time epic events and gatherings, but rather pressing in for the sustained fruit of lives, hearts and families being totally overwhelmed and overtaken with hunger and faith for God. And it’s really catching with every increasing momentum!

THE RECAP

From the launching of first Canadian burn furnace during the Olympic games in Vancouver - to the weekend rumble with the Burning Ones interns and leaders across Oklahoma - to the 72 hour wild “I Must Burn” inferno in our new home of Harrisburg, PA – to a full week of strategic gatherings with our tribe across Texas – to an epic 700 club interview and live worship set at CBN (which airs Wed, Mar 17 at 930am Eastern on ABC family channel) – to Gastonia, NC for a midweek worship and prayer strike – to our nations capital (Washington DC) for a full weekend of fire to shift the country and onto South Africa later this week……WE ARE GOING FROM GLORY TO GLORY MY FRIENDS!!!!

Some people think travel quite a bit, way too much or an unhealthy amount…those are usually the most common three remarks Kate and I receive concerning our schedule. But after studying the First and Second Great Awakenings led by a mad man named John Wesley, I discovered that in a day before airplanes and facebook, he personally traveled over 250,000 miles on horseback, preached 40,000 sermons and wrote over 250 books and tracts!!!! And this all happened while he was still in England and before he came over to America where his schedule really picked up in a country much bigger, wider and hungrier than where he came from!! After the unveiling of this unbelievable fact and after looking at the mileage chart of Paul, Peter and others from the Bible, my schedule seems a bit weak and tame I guess. Maybe I can work on that!!

THE FINISHER

I want to highlight one simple truth God has been revealing to me in the midst of this beautiful, sometimes painful and very unpredictable journey thus far in 2010.

Hebrews 12:2 says this:

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”

There is so much to this verse, but what God has been having me mediate on during a season of advancement with extreme opposition is a basic and fundamental truth. He is not only the author or initiator of our faith, BUT HE IS ALSO THE FINISHER! God is not a man and does leave any of His work, dreams and promises unfulfilled and unfinished. He always always always finishes what He begins. Most Christians have nailed down the concept and truth of God being the initiator of their faith. We know the mess and pit of despair that we were rescued from. We understand that we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). But do we truly believe that He is going to carry this work in our lives out to total fulfillment? Do we trust that He will complete every promise and bring every dream He birthed in our hearts into total reality before us? I promise that if you grab onto this and allow it to become truth in your life, you will deal with much less anxiety, fear, torment, unbelief and depression the enemy and world are throwing your way.

Imagine if we lived our lives with renewed vision? Instead of “just trying to make it through,” “weather the storm” and “scrape by” in seasons of testing and trial, what if we lived from the perspective of faith and were firm on the “finishing” ability of our God? Jesus knew full well the character of His father and pressed through every trial, tribulation with prophetic foresight on the fulfillment and finished work of God in Him!! I love how the author of Hebrews captures this…”who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” He carried JOY through the pain cause He knew what was coming….the right hand of the Father! WHAT A PERSPECTIVE!!

THE TRACK RECORD

God is not like us and does not leave work, dreams, promises unfinished and unfulfilled. Lately, I’ve felt the Lord compel me to reflect on the amazing “track record” of His faithfulness in my own personal life. Quite a record it is and how quick I am to forget it!! From the miraculous deliverance in Africa as an AK47 was grinding my skull into a cold slab of cement while Ugandan thieves promised to kill me after they asked if I believed in “the Way”….to my wife and I fleeing our new house, new job after college and packing our car to the brim in obedience to plant “resting places” for His Presence across the world (launch of Burn 24/7)…to paying my mortgage on time last month and feeding my pregnant wife…haha!!

I could go on and on and on…and so could you. We have been given an incredible HISTORY with God that reveals His consistent nature to be Faithful and FINISH what He starts! Even thinking about the thousands and thousands of hours of worship and intercession that are released every month in our BURN 24/7 furnaces across the world – from Cambodia to Iraq to Mexico to Germany to America!!! Look at all God has done in such a short time!! This gives me a stronger and brighter faith more than every before for Him to do “exceedingly, abundantly” MORE (Eph 3:20).

Allow the truth of that “track record” to launch you into a deeper place of believing for more. All of the sudden, my fathers cancerous brain tumor my family is battling does not seem like too big of an obstacle compared to what God has already done! Not one single word will fall to the ground! As we approach this season of Spring and even prepared by changing our clocks forward this past weekend, I believe there is a grace God is releasing to SPRING FORWARD from the place the of faith to BELIEVE FOR MORE!!

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent”

Isaiah 45:10-11

HE WILL DO IT AGAIN

He has done it before and He will do it again in a greater measure!! Please continue to believe for us for lives, homes, cities and nations to be transformed as we press on with BURN 24/7 this month! A few major focuses of the ministry will be thousands of fiery hours of worship and prayer released in 80 cities across the world, discipling the next generation through FIRE AND FRAGRANCE school and BURNING ONES internship, strategic prophetic evangelists sent across the University Campuses of America, Global Mission teams being launched to Haiti and South Africa and a new prophetic worship albums being completed!

Please also take a moment to sow financially to keep this movement alive and thriving across the planet. We are in dire need of financial support in many areas of the ministry and ever penny will be tax deductible and used to keep the fire on the altar burning!! See our 5 convenient ways to give on the link below!

Friday the 15th January…I was heading out to the first Burn 24/7 for Perth in 2010. It was a typical Australian summer’s day and we were pushing 40 degrees celsius. This time we would be burning for 20 hours. A hunger and willingness from over 10 worship teams from many denominations across the body of Christ had necessitated we extend the Burn to fit everyone in. A sure sign of things to come.

On the way there, I stopped in at the shop. I needed a bottle of water. All this burning makes you thirsty! When the guy scanned it, it came up as $22.22. It was a mistake, but as he re- entered the barcode to correct it, an involuntary smile swept across my face. I realized the Lord was speaking to me.

As I stopped at another shop on my way out the door, the same thing happened. My purchase came in at $2.22.

As I drove down to the huge white tent which loomed along our city’s foreshore to commence the Burn, I was reminded of the scripture in Isaiah 22:22…

“I will lay on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one will shut; and what he shuts, no one will open.”

When Sean Feucht came to Perth last October, he shared that he and our friend Rick Pino had had a series of encounters where the Lord had used the numbers 22/22 to speak to them of Isaiah 22:22… It was a witness that the Lord was opening a door from heaven to a Presence movement – a rebuilding of the Tabernacle of David that would release a sound of life into the barrenness of the nations. It would also usher in a revelation of creativity that would usher in the Kingdom of God.

I believe we are in a pivotal time where God is indeed giving His body the keys to the gates of the cities. As we entered into the first Burn for 2010, we had as our backdrop, the skyline of the city of Perth.

As I and what ended up being over 90 other worshippers and intercessors from ALL over the Body of Christ, lifted our worship to the King of Kings, I could smell the Swan River and hear the noise of the cars bustling over the causeway. This was not simply another Friday night in an insignificant city. Something significant was taking place in the city of lights this Friday night – God was weaving together a company of Davidic hearts who would worship Him in spirit and in truth and who would lay aside their own agendas to see the agenda of King Jesus exalted.

Perth may be one of the most isolated cities in the world but satellites show it to be the most brightly lit capital on the globe. A company of minstrels, dancers, worshippers and intercessors were letting their light shine!

The Lord has told me this year to ‘keep contending for the gold.’ I believe the gold is the glory of God. I will be contending this year to see the glory of God coat us like a thick layer of honey; clothing His church, in a way we’ve not seen before in this city. I believe that as we come together in true unity as HIS body and HIS bride, that He will pour out His Presence upon us and release redemptive, restorative life to our cities. Praise God!

A few days later, as I pulled into my driveway, I looked at the clock on my car’s dash. It was 22:22. I had just taken my husband to the airport to spend the week with Sean at the Call2All in New Zealand. I smiled.

May the pursuit of His Presence in our meeting together be our standard. Let the Lord build for himself a house, a habitation of His glory in this hour and in our cities! Amen.

This bizarre (seeming) dichotomy has been keeping the wheels of my heart turning this week and is causing wings to grow on the vision that God has long showed me for Cambodia: it’s going to touch every one of the 14 million Khmer hearts aching for Love…and this grand vision of an entire nation transformed? It doesn’t look like stadiums… It looks like one. And, like the loaves and fishes, and like the leaven… one can go a long way.

Holy Spirit is re-converting my heart, daily, to the Simple Gospel; the Gospel that says, “just Love somebody already”. The one that has given up trying to work out details and trying to establish 3-step strategies to guaranteed evangelistic success… the bottom-line of this Simple Gospel: is Love really enough or not?

We have seen and are continuing to see incredible, supernatural things here in Cambodia! A boy has come out of a coma (and a death-sentence) and has been granted Life! Broken bones and internal injuries have been healed on the spot! Ears have been opened! People in chronic pain have been set free, instantly! Fevers have subsided at the touch of our hands! Demons have gone! An angel came to worship with us on his piano at about 1am in our Burn last night! Murderers, rapists and thieves have had their destinies prophetically declared over them! Lady-boys are giving their hearts to Jesus and wanting to be boys again! And I have spent the week with a few thousand red-faced, wildly dancing, roaring-in-celebration Khmer people at a Randy Clark conference here in Phnom Penh where hundreds got healed without anyone laying hands on them! God is here and He is moving radically, unlike I’ve ever experienced. Randy was sharing one story about a man who had screws and bars in his body from surgery following a pretty terrible accident and before he could even get to the part of him being healed, this old grandma races up on stage, shaking her arms in the air! She has had metal screws in her wrists that have given her pain and restricted her movement for years and, as Randy was speaking… they dissolved! She was ecstatic, rolling her wrists, pain-free, for all to see! Ah Jesus is so kind!

And I Love this stuff! The Gospel must go out with power! Everywhere Jesus went, “He preached the good news of the Kingdom, and He healed people, ridding their bodies of sickness and disease” (Matthew 4:23) and I know that there is no other way. In fact, Cambodia’s tourism slogan is “Kingdom of Wonder”… and we agree!! I Love getting my hands on people dying of AIDS and prisoners and orphans and prostitutes and seeing them encounter Him and be healed… I feel like I get Jesus so much when I do; these are the same people He hung out with when He walked dusty streets like these. But while the Kingdom of Heaven is busting open in the Kingdom of Cambodia in huge ways, it’s in the moments that no one else has seen that I have been doubled-over in awe of Who God is… and seen the clearest vision of what it looks like for Heaven to invade this place.

Later that night of the conference, I was out on the street buying noodles from a vendor. Grandma was ahead of me in the queue with her 500 riel note (12c)… but it wasn’t enough. This dish was 2000 riel (50c). Reluctantly, the young girl told grandma that she couldn’t give it to her for 500 riel… and off she went to another vendor to get the only thing that she could afford with her 12c: half a baguette with pickles. While she waited for her food, I just allowed the Father to wreck me. If that was Jesus, would I for even a moment think of not helping Him out? Of course not. And this was Jesus. As Mother Teresa said (from Matthew 25):

“Hungry for love, He looks at you. Thirsty for kindness, He begs from you. Naked for loyalty, He hopes in you. Sick and imprisoned for friendship, He wants from you. Homeless for shelter in your heart, He asks for you. Will you be that one to Him?”

I walked over to her and, in Khmer, told her that I had some food for her. Her eyes lit up. Her beautiful, wrinkly, seen-so-much hand in mine, she walked across the street with me to her hot dinner. When I handed it to her, she looked deep into my eyes and told me that she loved me and embraced me for the longest time, right there in the middle of the street. She held my face in her hands and smiled the widest smile and just went on how she loved me and thank you thank you thank you… and off she went, to fill her belly.

I got onto the back of my motorbike home and felt an impartation into my heart from my sweet grandma. I’d come for impartation from this most wonderful Apostolic leader, who gave and gave and gave this week… Cambodia has received much from his coming! But when she hugged me? She really hugged me. If Jesus is in the poor, amongst the poor, like He says that He is… then He was surely in this woman, holding me, showing me what real Love looks like. I thought it was the one demonstrating Love by buying a hungry lady a 50c meal. But here He was, showing me the uncountable value of Love. That the real Love was not in the giving of money or food… but the real demonstration of Love here was in the one who knew she had nothing, but gave all of her heart to a stranger on the street.

And this is what revival is going to look like in Cambodia (and everywhere): Love. It’s the Simple Gospel. And it is more than enough. It’s not Love plus something… Love plus anything means that Love is not enough. And Love is more than enough! And this revival is going to be fully miraculous; the deaf will hear, the blind will see, the lame will walk, the dead will be raised! It’s been prophesied, and it’s beginning to happen! (We have stories of the dead being raised here without anybody even praying for them!) But, even more than that? It’s going to be the turning of dumps into playgrounds and of prisons into schools. Of fear into Peace and mourning into Joy. And every mama and papa, every girl and boy knowing that they are severely Loved. This is not a Love to merely be described… and I’d never want to think I could ever have enough words… but this is a Love to be encountered, to become possessed by! As we fall in Love with Him in the Garden of His Heart, we then have the privilege of looking into His Eyes through the eyes of the poor, our family, our friends and enemies and infecting them with a life-altering encounter with True Love.

“Love will cost you everything: laying down your life, living a life of passion and compassion, giving without expecting, feeling God’s very heartbeat, surrendering to His rhythm, and following the Lamb wherever He goes, even to the ends of the earth. Why go to the ends of the earth if you have nothing to give? The only currency that will heal every culture is ceaseless love. To be a minister, we must walk like Jesus, talk like Jesus, and be like Jesus for a broken and dying world. Ministry looks like servanthood manifested through love. Your job description is to be the fragrance of Christ, the beauty of Jesus, the very anointing of Him on Earth.”
