As usual, words and blogs seem ever so dull to articulate and express the explosion of fire and faith that we are witnessing catch communities, cities and nations ablaze all over the world. I feel there is a depth to the move of God this year that I have not felt before within our movement. The eyes of our leaders are not just fixed on the one time epic events and gatherings, but rather pressing in for the sustained fruit of lives, hearts and families being totally overwhelmed and overtaken with hunger and faith for God. And it’s really catching with every increasing momentum!

THE RECAP

From the launching of first Canadian burn furnace during the Olympic games in Vancouver -  to the weekend rumble with the Burning Ones interns and leaders across Oklahoma -  to the 72 hour wild “I Must Burn” inferno in our new home of Harrisburg, PA – to a full week of strategic gatherings with our tribe across Texas – to an epic 700 club interview and live worship set at CBN (which airs Wed, Mar 17 at 930am Eastern on ABC family channel) – to Gastonia, NC for a midweek worship and prayer strike – to our nations capital (Washington DC) for a full weekend of fire to shift the country and onto South Africa later this week……WE ARE GOING FROM GLORY TO GLORY MY FRIENDS!!!!

Some people think travel quite a bit, way too much or an unhealthy amount…those are usually the most common three remarks Kate and I receive concerning our schedule. But after studying the First and Second Great Awakenings led by a mad man named John Wesley, I discovered that in a day before airplanes and facebook, he personally traveled over 250,000 miles on horseback, preached 40,000 sermons and wrote over 250 books and tracts!!!! And this all happened while he was still in England and before he came over to America where his schedule really picked up in a country much bigger, wider and hungrier than where he came from!! After the unveiling of this unbelievable fact and after looking at the mileage chart of Paul, Peter and others from the Bible, my schedule seems a bit weak and tame I guess. Maybe I can work on that!!

THE FINISHER

I want to highlight one simple truth God has been revealing to me in the midst of this beautiful, sometimes painful and very unpredictable journey thus far in 2010.

Hebrews 12:2 says this:

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”

There is so much to this verse, but what God has been having me mediate on during a season of advancement with extreme opposition is a basic and fundamental truth. He is not only the author or initiator of our faith, BUT HE IS ALSO THE FINISHER! God is not a man and does leave any of His work, dreams and promises unfulfilled and unfinished. He always always always finishes what He begins. Most Christians have nailed down the concept and truth of God being the initiator of their faith. We know the mess and pit of despair that we were rescued from. We understand that we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). But do we truly believe that He is going to carry this work in our lives out to total fulfillment? Do we trust that He will complete every promise and bring every dream He birthed in our hearts into total reality before us? I promise that if you grab onto this and allow it to become truth in your life, you will deal with much less anxiety, fear, torment, unbelief and depression the enemy and world are throwing your way.

Imagine if we lived our lives with renewed vision? Instead of “just trying to make it through,” “weather the storm” and “scrape by” in seasons of testing and trial, what if we lived from the perspective of faith and were firm on the “finishing” ability of our God? Jesus knew full well the character of His father and pressed through every trial, tribulation with prophetic foresight on the fulfillment and finished work of God in Him!! I love how the author of Hebrews captures this…”who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” He carried JOY through the pain cause He knew what was coming….the right hand of the Father! WHAT A PERSPECTIVE!!

THE TRACK RECORD

God is not like us and does not leave work, dreams, promises unfinished and unfulfilled. Lately, I’ve felt the Lord compel me to reflect on the amazing “track record” of His faithfulness in my own personal life. Quite a record it is and how quick I am to forget it!!  From the miraculous deliverance  in Africa as an AK47 was grinding my skull into a cold slab of cement while Ugandan thieves promised to kill me after they asked if I believed in “the Way”….to my wife and I fleeing our new house, new job after college and packing our car to the brim in obedience to plant “resting places” for His Presence across the world (launch of Burn 24/7)…to paying my mortgage on time last month and feeding my pregnant wife…haha!!

I could go on and on and on…and so could you. We have been given an incredible HISTORY with God that reveals His consistent nature to be Faithful and FINISH what He starts! Even thinking about the thousands and thousands of hours of worship and intercession that are released every month in our BURN 24/7 furnaces across the world – from Cambodia to Iraq to Mexico to Germany to America!!! Look at all God has done in such a short time!! This gives me a stronger and brighter faith more than every before for Him to do “exceedingly, abundantly” MORE (Eph 3:20).

Allow the truth of that “track record” to launch you into a deeper place of believing for more. All of the sudden, my fathers cancerous brain tumor my family is battling does not seem like too big of an obstacle compared to what God has already done! Not one single word will fall to the ground! As we approach this season of Spring and even prepared by changing our clocks forward this past weekend, I believe there is a grace God is releasing to SPRING FORWARD from the place the of faith to BELIEVE FOR MORE!!

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent”

Isaiah 45:10-11

Just a few details.

In terms of figuring out your start time as a city, I just found out that Jerusalem changed their clocks back one hour. The start time does not need to be too rigid, but we are trying to synchronize this 24 hours so that we are all praying together and releasing a chorus of adoration, hunger, and intercession simultaneously from all the continents of the earth for the same purposes: Global revival, the raising up of Antioch’s all over the world, the increase of the manifest presence of God, a great harvest of souls, etc. So you may want to get back online and recheck what time 6PM Jerusalem time is in your city. Last night I had the incredibly amazing opportunity to help commission and release one of our Burn Wagon teams to bring fresh fire, faith and awakening across the Northeast region of America over the next three weeks. They are traveling to Buffalo, NY tonight and onto to the Ivy League Schools (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown) to release a sound of LIFE and TRUTH to combat and smash the humanistic spirit strangling the destinies of the brightest and sharpest minds in America. They then head down to Washington DC for several days to saturate that region in prophetic worship and bring guitars, drums, and their voices out into the streets, capitol hill, the mall to remind the nation of their foundation on God alone.

On Thursday night,  we had a massive, wild, celebration as we did the same thing for our West Coast and Southeast Burn wagons from Dallas, TX. The place was packed and our good friends Georgian and Winnie Banov helped saturate our teams in love and joy to go forth and bring healing, restoration, hope and salvation to the nation! It was an epic time and we were all laid out on the floor from the goodness of God!

Last night was possibly the worst possible night in the history of the Detroit area to have an event like this and hope to get a good turnout. The NHL Red Wings (Hockey team), the pride and joy of the region, was playing in game 7 of 7 for the championship finals and everyone was glued to their TV. But the faithful, the hungry and those passionate about sending these young fireballs off showed up and interceded, worshipped and released prophetic decrees from this place over the team and over America. I felt like I was standing with Gideon’s army and really shot faith into my heart and spirit for what God is doing here. For the last 18 months, this region of America has only been known around the world and across the nation for one thing: BAD NEWS. We have been bombarded about the collapse of the economy as the liberal media consistently uses the city of Detroit and the auto industry as the prime example of recession. The jobless rate is skyrocketing, the factories, businesses, giant corporations are all going into bankruptcy, crime and homelessness is on the rise and then they hit us with fear (especially the church) right here – and the muslims are moving in. Deerborn, MI is home to the largest concentration of muslims in the entire nation as they are taking over businesses, buying churches and turning them into mosques and completely flooding the city. The spirit of Islam is out to completely take over and reign in the region, but the people blinded in it are searching for truth and the field is white for harvest! God is setting them up for a divine encounter where they will truly see Jesus as He really is.  At the noise of this perpetual negative prophesies being slung at this region, many politicians, businessmen, pastors, leaders and believers have given up hope for the destiny of God to come forth from this land.

But there is a remnant and they are not giving up just yet. They are ALIVE. Trust me, after last night I know this now more than ever – THEY ARE ALIVE AND KICKIN!!! They are not succumbing to the lies of the enemy but are holding fast with stubborn hearts – like Daniel and David – as they defy the enemies of the living God in this land. I felt it was so fitting for our Northeast team, journeying directly into the heart and home of liberal politics, education and the cities that set the trends for society (New York, Washington DC, Boston, etc) to be commissioned from this place. With all the BAD NEWS being released from this town, God is sending out burning ones with nothing but GOOD NEWS in this hour!!

Even as David had finally assumed the throne as King after Saul’s death, he was faced with yet another giant to overcome to take back Jerusalem. The Jebusites sat back and mocked David’s efforts to take over their fortress saying “You will not get in here, even the blind and the lame will ward you off!” (2 Samuel 5:6) Does this sound familiar to many of the voices raging across America in this hour? Secular humanism, abortion, homosexuality, the liberal media, depression, fear, anxiety, unbelief are all sounds and stronghold’s mocking the efforts and attempts of the sons and daughters of God to usher America into the fullness of her destiny. Even top government leaders are releasing official statements to the muslim world that America is no longer a Christian nation. These voices absolutely fill me with righteous anger to mobilize the masses to press into the heart of God for the mercy and grace of breakthrough!  I believe the mocking of the Jebusites filled David and his mighty men with the same thing and it motivated them towards this great end. For it says in the next verse: “NEVERTHELESS, David captured the fortress of Zion, the City of David.”

Thats the word for this summer for the nation of America – NEVERTHELESS. A people are rising up in opposition and they are moved by love!! They are stubborn for the promises, plans and dreams of God and will not back down.

Autobahn in Germany l 10.25.09

While slicing through the German countryside on the smooth and fast autobahn as the sounds of Clarity by Jimmy Eat World provide the soundtrack, I’m finally able to give my mind a rest from the fanatical past weeks. This has been one epic journey marked by excitement, anticipation, sometimes weariness but best of all – A LOT OF GLORY! This has been the one constant guarantee sustaining us night after night! We are truly living on the fumes of His Presence and I absolutely love it! I assure you that most people in the world will not travel more in the next 4 years like we have in the past 4 weeks. I take full responsibility for the crazy schedule as I’m known for packing in as much as possible in the short time we have (just ask anyone that has traveled with me!). During this Burn Euro Tour, I totally forgot to think that we would end up literally leading 30 days of nonstop meetings!! There was so much ground to cover and so many contacts, people and beautiful communities to connect with to stoke the fire that it didn’t even register how intense it would actually play out. I’m learning quickly that not everyone is acclimated to the lifestyle I’ve been living for the past 3 years : )!

But we’re all doing incredibly well and it’s been absolutely gorgeous weather in Germany (quite a change from the UK!) the past few days! After the morning meeting yesterday and an incredible time again with Jesus and His German bride, we were able to take a much needed Shabbat rest and lay on the perfectly manicured green grass in the downtown square of Stuttgart and just soak in the ambiance of Europe. I honestly began to realize that I have never been so filled with hunger, passion and perseverance for this season of life! Many people think that 30 worship blowout/impartation meetings in a row would make you sick of church – but it’s had quite the opposite effect on me! EVERY SINGLE NIGHT GOD HAS DONE SOMETHING TOTALLY FRESH AND NEW!! It’s NEVER been the same. It’s NEVER been predictable. And it’s NEVER been boring! I think I’m just totally addicted to pursuing God with friends and waiting in anticipation like a little kid for what He will do next.

I believe God is raising up an expectant, childlike, hungry bride in this hour that treats every moment of her life as a gift from above. I mean this in the most non-cliché, cheesy way possible. Often times I meet so many people in ministry that really hate what they are doing (mostly people in western cultures) and are functioning in their gifting simply because its all they know how to do or their only means of financial stability (they’re in the wrong business for that anyway!). This brings so much grief and pain to my heart! I wish I could just drop them in the deep Himalayan Mountains for a year with our Nepali Burn leaders for the experience that would mark them. They currently live in the third poorest country in the world in the middle of extreme upheaval, strife and drought. At any moment in the day, a “strike” could be called that would bring the entire country to a standstill. Literally all businesses, schools, roads, cars and everything shuts down until there is a resolution between the Maoists and the government (which can take many days or even weeks). Electricity is the most inconsistent of any country I’ve been to (including Africa) and the “broadband” Internet is more like old school AOL delayed dialup. Imagine trying to mobilize churches, worship leaders and people to BURN night and day in a place like this! Their job is insanely difficult – a true labor of love for which they get little to no earthly recognition for. Not to mention they are working tirelessly to raise five orphans they rescued from the street as they must feed, clothe, school and bring them into this life of God’s Presence we are all meant to live. But the most beautiful thing about these hero’s of the faith – They ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have a smile on their face and enjoy the journey! Not one single person I know can “out-smile” or carry more joy than these guys!! It’s truly the most humbling thing you’ll encounter.

Sorry to get on that soapbox for a minute – but I feel like God is releasing such a grace on these upcoming leaders all over the world to truly LOVE what God has called them to do. Life is too short to live with regrets, excuses and bad attitudes! When we walk through life with grateful hearts and joyful attitudes at the task before us – we actually DEMAND a greater blessing and increase in our lives as sons and daughters of God. God is looking for “joyful stewards” in this hour of darkness, gloom, depression and fear and we must rise to the occasion!!

It even says about Jesus when confronted with the price of giving His life for the redemption of mankind.

“…for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross”

Hebrews 12:2

Let me backup to the last night in the UK for a quick recap and then move forward to what has happened in Germany thus far. We spent the last night of three weeks in the UK with the Guildford Boiler Room and 24-7 Prayer crew outside London. It was so humbling to come serve and pour out under such a strong foundation of prayer that men like Pete Grieg and others have built there. We were all blown away by the passion for the nation these guys carried and their fervency to see an awakening come swiftly! We experienced an incredible time in God’s Presence together and we really had the chance to share our hearts for this season of unity we are entering into and how much we need each other to complete the task. We ended the night with praying and prophesying over each other and it honestly felt like family! BURN 24-7 and 24-7 Prayer and forever connected in this quest and we will be working together, sharing resources and spending a lot more time with each other in the future.

When we landed in Frankfurt, Germany, I had such an overwhelming and familiar “homey” feeling come over me. Last year and for my birthday, my wife traced my family lineage back to the motherland of Germany including the towns, regions and places my great grandfather and beyond were born and raised in. I guess I feel I have some serious godly heritage and authority in this nation since my roots are so deep here. Our first night in Giessen was incredible! The place was packed with youth and many that have been apart of the foundations of BURN GERMANY since its initial launch last November! These emerging BURN leaders are scattered all over the nation but gathered for this first night and it was electric! The past two nights we have been in Ludwigsburg in a church literally on a hill overlooking the city! Our times of worship were really incredible and we even took the entire group outside to worship as the sun bowed low on the city below!! It was one of those moments I’ll never forget and truly moved people out of their traditional box and outside into His glory!!

We are now on a 6-hour journey to the infamous and long awaited town of Herrnhut nestled in the hills on the border of Poland and Chec Republic. This tiny village was the birthplace of arguably the most powerful and far reaching prayer and worship movement of all time. The Moravians ignited a 120 year long prayer meeting led by Count Zinzendorf that launched a massive movement and changed the face of the planet forever! We have visited the graves and grabbed the mantles of St. Cuthbert, Evan Roberts, Smith Wigglesworth and now, we saved the best for last!! We are convening on this obscure place with our Fire and Fragrance team to grab this mantle on behalf of a gernation and will stay in one of the fastest growing YWAM bases in the world (based in a castle). More updates and good stuff to come!!

These are my favorite sets of the burn. It is now 2:22 in the afternoon (Isaiah 22:22 – key of David!) as the wild mayhem of the late night sets has dissipated and the crowds have diminished. Most people are busy at work or carrying on with life’s daily demands in the British society.

But the sound has not stopped.

The flame of adoration, devotion, intercession and worship is burning brighter than ever and we’re not even halfway through our 50 hours! The incense of pure love is being released upon the city right now as a zealous psalmist bears his heart and pours it all out before the Lord.  The pleasure of God is here and I don’t want to leave. The atmosphere of Heaven has flooded this place and is awakening the deeper places.

We kicked this madness off last night as an unprecedented thing took place in this city. When I say that – I mean just that!! It has never happened before! Over 300 believers from across 20 different churches and denominations gathered on a TUESDAY night to release a sound of awakening and life over their city. As we gathered together in the spirit of unity, we simply began to sing out “Holy Spirit Come.” We repeated this chant for at least an hour and waited as the Presence of God came to rest in the room.  We even had the hungry burners drive down from Durham, Newcastle and North Wales to help us christen St. Johns Bowling Church for 50 hours of inferno blaze glory!! Our Burn Turkey leaders also flew in to pour their fuel on the fire and believe with us for breakthrough in the ground here.

We have been through some wild days of preparation that have brought us to this long awaited blowout in Bradford. Just five days ago we were gathered in small town in the Southwest part of the nation called Barnstaple. This town is known for being the oldest burrow in England. In the last few years, God has summoned people from the nations to gather in this historic and strategic town to build a resting place for His presence and release a fragrance of night and day worship across the nation. After our beautiful time stoking the flames already burning there and following a meal of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had (YAHH!!), we journeyed back into Wales for a weekend of fire on the top floor of a local pub with a radical community in Bridgend.

Throughout our travels across the UK – from Newcastle to Cardiff to London and back again – we’ve heard the infamous news about this town in Wales. Whenever anyone has looked at our insane itinerary of 21 days straight of pursuing the Presence, this is a place that sticks out in their mind. Bridgend is known for being the “suicide capital” of the UK and really all of Europe. The spirit of death has wreaked havoc on this city for the past 18 months and has resulted in 26 lives lost and virtually all of them being young twentysomethings. The wild part is that the weekend was actually supposed to be in a nearby city but ended up being hosted by the hungry crew in Bridgend. So they rented out the large top floor of a local pub and rugby club in town and we opened up the windows, cranked up our amps and released a sound of resurrection and life to break the spirit of death. We demanded and declared that the town was a “suicide free zone” and called forth the destinies of the prodical sons and daughters bound in depression, fear and brokenness.  It was a WILD WILD joyful, fun, powerful and brilliant time together that lasted way into the night!! On Saturday afternoon, we decided it was time to take the sound to the streets. We brought all our drums, guitars and gear out into the rainy and damp weather and a crowd gathered with bewildered and curious looks on their faces to hear more. The crowd actually stayed around for awhile as we carried on releasing stuff into the spirit realm over the city and ended up having some powerful times of prayer with these onlookers!

After our incredible time in Bridgend, we took on double duty on Sunday with a service in Chester in the morning and in Colwyn Bay (North Wales) at night. Both of the meetings blew up again and God showed up with all His faithfulness, glory and goodness!! People were dancing wildly, falling in love with their Creator all over again and we even had a few people give their lives to Jesus or recommit themselves! We all laid down ourselves as living sacrifices and pressed in for revival and awakening across the UK and Europe! God is moving in both cities so powerfully and they is a deep deep hunger for MORE MORE MORE of GOD!! I believe it’s the hunger that is moving the heart of God to action!!

Two nights ago, we stopped for a night in Leicester, England to hang out with a community who recently lost their church building from a fire that took everything up in flames. The pastor had heard that the BURN EURO tour was rolling through the UK and thought their recent trails qualified them to be apart!! HAHA!!! They are the real BURN crew over here and they’ve been refined through the fire!! This is another beautiful story of redemption as God has restored to them a building and equipment that is far greater than what they had lost!! Isn’t that just like how GOD works? We soon found out that the city of Leicester is home to the rising British Islamic Parliament and is their main stronghold in the nation. This city is one of the most highly concentrated Muslim cities in all of Europe and the laws are moving to institute sheria law in parts of the city. With this knowledge in our minds and with all the radical intercessors that showed up that night, we entered into a serious time of government intercession over this stronghold believing for kingdom breakthrough and a loosing of the revelation of Jesus Christ across the city! I seriously felt that a shift took place and the prayers took flight swiftly across the nation to bring about change and transformation. The community in Leicester was so moved by the BURN to take place in Bradford the next night that they eagerly want to begin burning regularly with the surrounding churches, musicians and intercessors.

I believe the massive journey above has helped prepare us for all God is releasing now in this very moment in Bradford. Our hearts are gripped with urgency for this nation in this hour. Bradford is also a massive Islamic stronghold as thousands upon thousands of Pakistanis have moved to the city and integrated into society. These people are RIPE RIPE for the gospel and I believe are on a search for the authentic Presence of God. Before we can win the battle on the ground, we must win it in the heavenlies and build a throne through day and night worship and prayer for Jesus to sit upon.

I was so moved during the first set last night as the atmosphere was electric and this verse was emblazoned on my heart.

“In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it – one from the house of David. One who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of Righteousness”
Isaiah 16:5

For some reason, I still encounter BELIEVERS who have issues with night and day raw and wild worship and prayer. They think it is too extreme and not useful for true lasting transformation. This verse explains it all and validates the very reason we do what we do with BURN 24-7. We are building a throne for the man Jesus to sit upon in this city. As He is “enthroned” on the praises of His people – sitting higher than any muslim mosque – He releases justice, righteousness, salvation and favor on the city! We sent out some evangelists today on the streets from the place of this throne and resting place and have already heard incredible testimonies of healings that have come forth. There will be more of these to come in the following updates!

Today we continue the Burning through the night and are also planning to visit the gravesite of a GIANT hero of the faith.  The revivalist Smith Wigglesworth based his home and apostolic ministry out of this region and his bones now rest in this ground. We want to grab the mantle of FAITH AND MIRACLES on behalf of an entire generation to see revivalist unleashed again across Europe!!

The crux of this entire email update is surmised in the title above. For those of you that do not read these updates but merely glance at the title and move on with all the busy things of the day (no condemnation : )…then at least you’ll get the point of why I’m writing this.

This update comes at the half way mark (or 3 weeks into) our BURN EURO TOUR 2009 across the great continent of Europe (Holland, Norway, UK, Germany and Denmark to be exact). I am currently sitting in the quite comfortable seat of a train transporting us from London to Chester where we will meet up with the team and drive to Southport for another meeting tonight with the hungry. This night will mark our 18th meeting in 18 days! WOW!!! I am honestly more hungry and passionate tonight to see God’s Presence move than any previous night on this tour. That seriously speaks volumes about where our hearts are as team right now. Despite trying to get acclimated to the wild change in weather that is so common for this nation (cold and wet – then hot and dry – then windy and cold) – and virtually ALL of us catching a nasty cold/flu thing…we are still pressing in hard and long every night for breakthrough!!

Our beautiful team of 10 hard core burners have poured out all they have just about every night through long long (and I mean LONG) sets of worship, prayer, preaching and impartation in cities all over Europe. I don’t think we’ve finished and left a single venue before 11pm since we’ve arrived here. Its not just because we love to hang in long meetings…but because the consistent, perpetual, constant and FAITHFUL Presence of God keeps showing up in increasing measure again and again and AGAIN!! People cannot get enough and neither can we!! We are literally seeing a generation of BURNING ONES arise and take their place as watchmen on the walls on behalf of Europe. They are set apart, consecrated and have eyes full of faith for what God is doing in their nations. I believe what we are about to see rage across this region is unparalleled in history.  I hope all of you are getting the chance to watch the videos we’ve been posting (I know we are a little behind but are catching up!) which tell the testimonies, stories and show you a glimpse of what we are witnessing together!! People are driving 2,3,4 hours from surrounding towns and regions to drink from the fountain of what God is pouring out! We have witnessed some incredible healings taking place during “open heaven” type atmosphere’s we are experiencing just about every night!! Whether its with a massive crowd of 5000 in Zwolle, Holland or with 50 packed into a small post office building in North Wales…the same God is opening hearts and moving because of his deep love for His people!!

We are leading a service tonight at an official Church of England location and I’m so pumped about it! Many pastors and leaders from within that denomination are coming and I have no reason to doubt that God wont show up with POWER on the 19th night just like He did the past 18! We will be just outside of Liverpool in a town called Southport – which I’m told is a very strategic place in the nation.

Yesterday I had the incredible privilege to hang for a day in London sharing, dreaming and strategizing with two of the nations top leaders. Pete Greig is the founder of 24-7 Prayer and a true father in the prayer and justice movements. His books have blasted me and he’s help given language and vision to an entire generation for this move in this hour. Tim Hughes is a worship leader, songwriter and teacher and is taking  “worship central” events all over the world to equip and train worship leaders to press in deeper to God. Kate and I had a blast with these guys sharing our hearts together. They are pure leaders with a vision for this wave of prayer and worship to take over the planet!!  I was able to paint the picture with them of what our team had witnessed on our past 3 week pilgrimage and we all shared the anticipation for this current season.

Oh yea – I almost forgot to tell everyone another AMAZING testimony of Gods faithfulness that took place 2 days ago. As many of you know, our minibus was broken into in Sunderland (outside of Newcastle). We found out after the fact that the city is infamous for the highest car crime in all of Europe!! We’re learning new stuff everyday on this tour!! HA!! Anyway…so the window was bashed in and our bass guitar was stolen at around 230am as it was parked in FRONT of the house of prayer. We mourned the passing of that beautiful instrument…but rejoiced knowing that God is the restorer of all things!! The next night we were in Durham (big college town here) and shared briefly about the incredible victories we were experiencing in the meetings (salvations. healings, deliverance). I also shared about some of the backlash attacks and quickly mentioned what had happened the night before. That night, the leaders of the church felt like they should take up a spontaneous offering to sow into a new bass guitar!!! Enough money came in to buy a brand new bass that was far better than the one that was stolen!!!

Well….here it FINALLY comes…the long awaited BURN EURO TOUR 2009.

It’s been in the works for quite some time and there has been a massive amount of energy, coordination, money, resources, time and prayer that has gone into making this dream a reality!! Praise God for all the amazing administrative people out there!! We are embarking on a journey with a team of nine anointed, incredible, beautiful, powerful, musicians, psalmists, revivalist and worshippers from across America to pour out all we have on five of the most strategic nations in Europe.

Holland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway and Denmark will soon hear the tones of worship, intercession, prophecy and PASSIONATE SOUND coming out of our voices, guitars, amps and drums over the next six weeks as we partner with key ministries and leaders across the continent to see a FRESH wave of God’s Presence, love, fire, BREAKTHROUGH and glory poured out this summer!! We are kicking it off with two big festivals in Holland called “Soul Survivor” and “Heaven on Earth” with a stop to hang with our fiery Scandinavian burners in Oslo between the two! Then we are off to over a dozen cities across the UK (including some sweet spots in Wales!) and onto GERMANY (my heritage) -  from Frankfurt to Berlin and grabbing the Moravian mantle in Herrnhut -  while finishing up this entire trip of glory and madness in Copenhagen, Denmark with a hungry community of worshippers and lovers!

It’s going to be one wild, busy, exhausting but perfect tour and those of you who know me would expect nothing less!! When you pull together something this big, theres no time to play games and you MUST pack in as much as you can and pour it ALLLLLLLLL OUT!! Every single member of my team has been preparing their heart through diligent fasting, prayer, consecration and we collectively carry a weighty expectancy and anticipation for the FULLNESS of the Kingdom to break out everywhere we go! We are not coming to simply play great music and share stories of what “could” or “might” happen, but we are DEMANDING an outbreak of the Kingdom of God EVERYWHERE WE GO! We are going to press press press in until we breakthrough and rest rest rest when it comes! Believe with us for an outbreak of the supernatural with marked by miracles, healings, deliverance, salvation and stirring up the hunger of the European bride for MORE!!

I strongly believe that Europe holds a key to the coming breakthrough and awakening in America! Forty years ago this summer, a sound birthed in Europe through bands like the Beatles was unleashed in America through massive festivals like Woodstock and Altamont. Known infamously as “the sound of ‘69,’ this ushered in a culture of drugs, sex and violence forever changing the landscape of my nation. My generation grew up under the curse of this sound of rebellion and was confronted with temptations, issues and strongholds of unparalleled in prior generations. This summer, we are taking back what was stolen and asking that a sound of redemption come forth from the mouth of a sleeping bride! I do not believe we can reverse the curse hanging over America continuing to eat away at our godly heritage and moral value system without going to the ROOT of the issue and bringing transformation!

The Lord has impressed on my heart the heavy significance of this venture as a marker for my life and the ministry of BURN 24-7. I dare not embark on such a journey with presumption and ignorance, but I must be blessed and sent off by seasoned mothers and fathers who have valiantly blazed the trail before me in the nations . This is what brings me to one of my favorite cities on the planet tonight: “the city of sound.” It is from Seattle. Washington that I will be commissioned by heros of the faith and imparted with strength, endurance, favor and anointing to finish the work set before our team this summer. Georgian and Winnie Banov, Heidi Baker, Patricia King and more along with all our good friends in the Northwest will be commissioning us on this six weeks journey and I’m expecting a massive impartation! It is also important to understand the mantle the city of Seattle carries to release an influential sound across the earth. Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrision, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain all carried a sound that shifted culture and were from this city. The enemy distorted this gift and their sound and cut their lives short from their God given calling. Good thing the Lord is heavily vested into the business of restoration in these days!!  We are grabbing onto that spiritual mantle for journey and are praying for double the influence and favor.

I am writing this email as a call and plea to everyone now reading this to become a sustaining covering of intercession while we are gone. Because the nature of this trip is so intricate with details and logistics, we need grace and favor for everything to work together. Everything from planes, trains, buses, sound equipment, luggage, customs, venues, sickness and many other details could cause a massive delay that would affect our entire trip. The enemy would love nothing for us to be tripped up with ridiculous details like this while we are longing to SOAR HIGH AND STRONG!!

bozeman, mt l 03.09.09

The reality of this last weekend was indeed something out of a wild dream that I believe still deserves some interpretation. It is funny to me that while we are called to faithfully walk this narrow road, unexplainable things happen along the way that cause you to seek out His will and ask deep questions.

Within minutes of when my plane left from DFW airport (Dallas) last Thursday on my way to Bozeman, MT, an explosion rocked the downtown Main Street of the city as five businesses were engulfed in flames including the town’s most famous college bar. Ash and debris flew over 60 yards in the air as the historic district erupted due to an old structured gas line that blew. One person is still missing, but no one else was hurt (a complete act of GOD being that it was 815am in the morning on the busiest street of the city). I even saw the massive cloud of smoke from my plane flying in. The radio announcers and first press releases online were quoted as saying “Bozeman is burning this morning!”

The wild thing about all this is that when the story first came out from the local news station, they desired to show footage of the fire and explosion and accidentally linked our BURN 24-7 youtube.com video we had shot on the streets of the city three months ago. This video explained the Burn Bozeman launch and called for the purifying fire and Presence of God to come to the city where bars and Masonic temples were located.

This is where it gets interesting friends. As you can see in that video, we did call down for Gods purifying fire and I prayed and prophesied out “BOZEMAN IS GONNA BURN! BLAZE! BLAZE! BLAZE!” at the end of the video like I normally do in most videos (you who follow me know this is true : ). The camera was panned down the street as I said that and that shot is exactly where that explosion occurred last Thursday consuming almost a block of buildings.

Now, I wanted to clearly clarify and state to everyone that has been following the videos as well as those who are deeply disturbed by these events:

IT WAS NOT OUR DESIRE FOR LITERAL FIRE TO COME AND BRING DESTRUCTION, DEATH AND DAMAGE ON THE CITY. WE WERE CALLING FOR THE FIRE OF HIS LOVE AND HIS PRESENCE TO REIGN DOWN AND WIN THE HEARTS OF THE CITY OVER.

As the song declares on my last album “Mercy always wins.” Romans 2:4 also clearly states that “His kindness leads us to repentance.”

This is what I, BURN 24-7 and our 75 plus cities around the world are praying, worshiping, evangelizing and spreading His love into. We are mercy and grace people for sure and have given our lives over to this end.

With that being said, the events of this first day and the strange coincidence surrounding our video and the explosion got me really praying into this.

AND THE PLOT THICKENS….

After an amazing night of gathering the hungry at Montana State University to worship, pray, burn and receive what God is pouring out in this hour, we left the next day for my hometown of Missoula, MT.  We were traveling on I-90 for about an hour when we saw smoke, flames and fire roaring up from downtown strip of a town called White Hall clearly visible from the highway. The flames were shooting thick ash into the air and we were compelled to pull over to find out what was going on. Literally the entire town was gathered outside the police and fireman barricade watching the local pub and a few other buildings go up in flames. No one was hurt or injured as the eruption occurred early that morning and the cause is still unknown. I was so blown away and perplexed at what was going on that I shot another video on the scene asking people around the world to pray into this stuff and see what God was telling them.

As we continued the drive towards Missoula I contacted some of the most noted prophets in the world recognized for their accuracy that are personal friends of mine. I could list their names and you would know every one of them, but there is no need for that and my purpose here isn’t to “name drop.”
I began to explain to them the wild events and the notable similarities in both the fire in Bozeman and White Hall.

1. Both fires began in the early morning and burned throughout the entire day
2. Both happened in the downtown Historic Districts.
3. Bozeman fire erupted from “old structure” gas line.
4. One of the buildings that was burned in Bozeman was “American Legion” and the cross streets of the White Hall fire was “Main” and “Legion.”
5. The first video in Bozeman was shot exactly 74 days before the fire broke out. (7 + 4 = 11 – Biblical symbolism of “transition”)
6. The morning of the White Hall fire, 2 notable earthquakes occurred 12 miles from the blast ( link below )

As I began to explain all these events, these prophets began to share with me words, prophecies and visions of fire ripping across Montana along with a major RIFT shaking and a period of TRANSITION coming into effect.  WOW!!!

They said this is a season where signs in the natural will reveal what is going on in the Spirit and this is DEFINITELY one of those taking place.  As I began to pray and prepare for the meetings in Missoula on the drive thinking of all the craziness occurring over the past few days, I believe the Lord gave me this passage below out of Isaiah 33:14-17.

“Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire?
Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?”

15 He who walks righteously
and speaks what is right,
who rejects gain from extortion
and keeps his hand from accepting bribes,
who stops his ears against plots of murder
and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil-

16 this is the man who will dwell on the heights,
whose refuge will be the mountain fortress.
His bread will be supplied,
and water will not fail him.

17 Your eyes will see the king in his beauty
and view a land that stretches afar.

The meetings in Missoula were soaked and saturated with a heavy Presence of God involving repentance, joy, love and the fire of God.  We had over 9 pastors from around town come and hang out with us as they prayed over each other and we prophesied a mighty awakening across that valley! It was such a special time for me!

During the few days in my home town, we were getting massive amounts of comments, emails and voicemails concerning the fires from people all over the country. A lot of them were from people just praying into things as I had pleaded for on the video and some had powerful revelations. There were also a few angry and irate believers accusing me personally and the Burn Bozeman crew for making light of the fires and thinking they had any significance to something spiritual. They had no answers or discernment for what was happening at all, but were quick to cast judgment on us and unleash condescending words. I’m not even going to comment on those, because what happens next will reveal even the lost are beginning to understand that God may be trying to say something through all this.

When we returned back for the BURN PREVIEW at the Hilton Hotel in Bozeman on Sunday night, there was a state and federal official (from the Sheriffs Department and another from Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Division) that were there to greet me. Now because Bozeman is a small town, the fires were a big deal and our videos were linked accidentally from the local news agency, the state government had caught wind and were actually studying the videos posted. The men were really kind guys and did not come accusing me of anything and they knew I was on a plane when the first one happened (its amazing what they know!!). But their first questions were these:

How did you know the fires were going to happen??

We saw the video you posted three months ago and what you said over the city actually happened??

Who are you guys anyway?? haha

They said they thought it was more than a weird coincidence and wanted to know some meaning behind it. I told them that I was just as perplexed and surprised as they were but had our crew around the world praying into it. I also told them that I believe sometimes things take place in the natural are a direct correlation to what is going on the Spirit. To this response they looked at me and nodded “Yea I can see that for sure.”

So you can see how even the world has some sense of discernment when “out of the ordinary” things like this happen! It’s the believers who sometimes carry a heart of unbelief and act like they know which way God is going to move and what He is going to do.  Now, again for the record, I’m not convinced that these events are the “judgment of God.” I think if God wanted to judge the city, then every church would have burned to the ground that day in keeping with “Judgment begins in the house of God” (Psalm 50 and Rev. 2-3). But I do believe the Lord allowed such things and actually shielded the city from further casualties and danger because out of His great mercy, HE DESIRES TO GET OUR ATTENTION.

Even the city planners called the event a “divine miracle.” I do not wish to make light of any loss of human life, property or destruction but I do want to press in and seek Gods heart on why it happened and capture His great plan of redemption and restoration! He always has one during wild events like these!

After all this mayhem was passed, the preview on Sunday night absolutely went off! We had well over 15 congregations attending from across the valley and HUNGRY CAME OUT! As we began to worship and seek Gods heart, there was literally an OPEN HEAVEN type atmosphere in that building and people were dumbfounded at the freedom that was released in the room. Lovers of God were engaging to a place where I’ve never seen across the state thus far! Waves of freedom, love, faith and healing poured out all over the city as we prayed for and cried out of the destiny of the kingdom to come forth! I shared a word on my heart for the state and pleaded with pastors, leaders and churches to break down walls of division, religion and competition holding back God’s unifying move with His bride. The word came out like fire and was the longest I have preached in a long time (90 minutes!!). We were all gripped with the urgency of the hour and even a homeless man living under a bridge of the city came and was freed of alcoholism and rededicated His life to Jesus.  Others saw angels, feathers and the fire of God in the room! We also prayed fervently for those families affected by the disasters and believed for Gods divine will to spring forth. What the enemy meant for evil, God would bring for good.

THE FIRE OF HIS LOVE AND PRESENCE IS GOING TO BURN ACROSS MONTANA LIKE NEVER BEFORE IN THIS COMING SEASON!! THIS IS A SEASON OF TRANSITION WHERE THE OLD STRUCTURES ARE BEING DESTROYED AND HE IS IGNITING HIS MOVE ONCE AGAIN!!

WE INVITE YOU LORD TO COME CLEANSE, RESTORE, REDEEM AND SAVE THAT WHICH IS LOST ACROSS THIS GREAT AND GORGEOUS STATE!

I just returned back from one CRAZY and WILD weekend on the East Coast of America! Despite this being the most anxious, fearful, stressful and depressing time to be living in this part of the nation (according to the media, economy and the world), this did little hold back the waves of immense joy, hope, love and victory that washed over us!

We started in Harrisburg, PA at Firestorm with our friends at Life Center and finished with the BURN DC tribe at Immanuel’s Church in Silver Spring, MD. Each day was like we were getting dipped in the cleansing waters of Jordan River another time until we were fully restored as Naaman on the 7th time (2 Kings 5:14). One of the reasons I love that story is because it says that his once leprosy-diseased skin “was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.”
We need the washing of this river full of love, joy and laughter to restore back our hearts and lives like that of little children.  The spirit of pessimism and cynicism is so strong in our generation and the church that we simply NEED OUR INNOCENSE BACK AGAIN so we can hear the voice of our Father past the wounding, rejection and fear.

Jesus dealt with this same stuff in His day and that’s why He made this bold declaration:

“I tell you the truth, unless you CHANGE and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 18:3-4

So….we did act like little children and it was so much fun!  Our burn leaders from Buffalo, Yale University and DC came out for a dip in the water as we all experienced this together!
Its been awhile since I had such a blast at a big event and we released warfare on the enemy with a smile on our face and joy in our heart! I’ve been to a lot of “contending” type meetings and love them, but this was different and yet still so incredibly effective! There was one point on Saturday night where this unexplained, spontaneous eruption of joyous song and dancing broke out right in the middle of the message! I’ve never seen this happen quite this way before but it went on for hours! It was like an old time southern country church revival meeting breakout on steroids!! But it actually happened in the “cold northeast” (as people say) and that’s the best part!

No area of the world, society or the church is safe anymore from these random bombs of love dropping in our midst.

In our short history as a movement, our Burn 24-7 crew has seen these types of explosions in the most unlikely places all around the world. From the largest Muslim nation of Indonesia to the red light district of Amsterdam to the slums in Africa and coming this summer to such places as Dubai and Iraq, we are bent on seeing the waters of this healing river land on the most hard, calloused and desensitized hearts so we can all become like children again in His Presence!

The BURN DC is beginning to experience some of the most remarkable testimonies of this “washing” of the waters of His love.  Gang bangers, drug addicts, the religious and homosexuals are being transformed as Chris and Bethany are leading them into the depths of this joy by hosting these long BURN sessions every month. Rather than facing the uphill and long battle of years and years of counseling (which we often need) to repair the deep and intense father and mother wounds and pains that drive these kids to be who they are, we simply lead them to the washing of the river. After hours and hours of dipping in this; transformation, restoration and revitalization is taking place on a massive level! There are testimonies POURING in from this city of chains breaking off and people being set free in His Presence through salvations, supernatural healings and JOY!!!

May God possess you today with this contagious spirit of joy, love and glory!! You are called to live on a “perpetual victory parade” spreading everywhere the “fragrance of Him!” To the systems of the world (cynicism, pessimism and religion) – we are the smell of death as we bring forth the true kingdom of life, love and joy. But to those looking for salvation and hope in this hour – we are an aroma “redolent with life!”

In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. But those on the way to destruction treat us more like the stench from a rotting corpse.

2 Corinthians 2:14-16
