May I encourage you to look at this short video (see link) regarding prayer for Japan? Let me digress for a second by offering two quick notes that will add up right in the end.

A friend commented on Facebook last Sunday that he was celebrating the 4th of July with some friends visiting from England and he made this remark, “Ah, talk about reconciliation! ” Made me smile.

Now check out Reinhard Bonnke’s note from today’s post:

“Cain suffered for the killing of Abel. He was afraid of retaliation. Terrible blood feuds have been waged for centuries, with one family seeking vengeance against another. But all feuds end at Calvary. In Christ we are all avenged. Nobody suffered for the death of Jesus. Instead, He suffered death for us all. The assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand triggered World War One, but Christ made peace “through His blood, shed on the cross” (Colossians 1:20, NIV). Abel’s blood spoke of death; Christ’s blood speaks of life.

Peter told the first Europeans who received the gospel that “Jesus of Nazareth … went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil” (Acts 10:38). Confronted with such damage to His activities, the devil, the author of evil, raged, plotted, and finally inspired wicked men to nail Jesus hand and foot to a tree. The enemy of souls stood by and was smugly happy. Those feet would no longer carry Jesus around nor do His hands touch the sick afflicted. Yet, by the greatest turnaround in all history, the very blood that evil spilled became its cure.” – Reinhard Bonnke

So, here I am recommending that we watch a video about prayer for Japan and my hope is that both nations can say the same to one another. There is a call today . . . after Iwo Jima and Hiroshima and concentration camps and Pearl Harbor . . . for America to sow prayer and love into Japan and our young brothers and sisters are answering the call to go and they COVET our prayers SO very much!!!! It is making me weepy. From one Island to another, my heart says “yes, we’ll pray”. The Altar IHOP in Pennsylvania has sown into IHOP-LI /The Burn: Long Island so kindly and faithfully over the last few years and now they have a baby IHOP in Tokyo and I just want to invite you along for the ride and whenever you are reminded, would you send love and prayers for them as they labor away?! Isn’t God incredibly cool and wildly good?!! Love to all, t
