From Portland to Portland We Are Removing Stones

08.28.09 l Little Rock, AR

We’ve had some of the most amazing times in God’s Presence over the past week in America! Tonight in the capital city of Arkansas was no exception as the wind of God’s presence literally came zipping through the room from the frequency of the first chord strummed. Lately, I’ve been feeling this wind blow frequently in worship and I believe it’s the sign of a change and shift in seasons across our nation. As people are returning back to school and getting ready for a “new chapter” I know God is doing a new thing (Isaiah 43). We are always living “in process” and being transitioned from “glory to glory” (2 Cor. 3). This upcoming season will sure to be the best yet and bring us into yet an even deeper place of understanding, revelation and wild abandonment to the purposes and plans of God on the earth.

As we were in Portland, Oregon last week celebrating my big 2-6 birthday and hanging out with the fiery worshippers, intercessors and missionaries transforming the wonderful city of Salem, the Lord began speaking to me out of the book of Jeremiah quoted below:

“Stand at the crossroads and look,
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is and walk in it
and you will find rest for your souls.”

Three days ago, I was drinking bubble tea (the “new” coffee..haha) in downtown Portland, Maine and the Holy Spirit reiterated once the same word once again but added this to it: “ and remove the stones.” We had an INCREDIBLE time in Maine as we released a roar of love, creativity and adoration to God from an outdoor “glory park” in downtown Waterville next to a peaceful river. Then just two days ago, I was meditating on what the Spirit had spoken when I was driving across the border into Fort Smith, AR for a meeting that night. My plane from Chicago was a little late and this put us behind in our schedule. As I was driving down the main drag of the city en route to meet the band for sound check, the craziest thing happened! While I was cruising at 50 miles per hour, in front of me was a massive bolder and chunk of concrete hanging out in the middle of the road! A quick glance at the flow of cars in the adjacent lane left me no choice but to smash head on into this thing! Within milliseconds, the giant stone scrapped through the bottom of my car and got wedged – bringing us to a screeching halt! I quickly got out to see what liquids were spewing from under my car and I found nothing except this bolder literally caught between the ground and my exhaust. In a moment of perfect provision from God, the guy behind me happened to have a fancy new hydraulic jack in his truck (thank God for good Samaritans!). So he helped me put the car up high enough to reach under and remove the stone. Weird stuff right??

That night we were caught in a deep place in the Spirit as we interceded over the region from the “western gate” of the state. An 11-year-old neighborhood boy stumbled out of curiosity into the church where we were worshipping and was “caught up” with us in a high place of His Presence. No one prayed for him or gave an altar call, but He felt God in our midst and gave his life to Jesus that night!! YAH!!!!! He later told me that “he heard a sound” flooding the streets and came wandering in and experienced the “best feeling of his life.” We exchanged his old skull and bones shirt (literally that’s what was on his shirt) and hooked him up with a fresh burn shirt!! I told him it symbolized his BURNING heart God ignited that night that would NEVER go out.

Tonight as we were sound checking at this amazing church in Little Rock, God brought divine revelation to me about the whole “remove the stones” and how it ties into the beautiful salvation we experienced the night before. Like a light bulb, the verse in Isaiah 62 immediately illuminated in my mind.

Pass through, pass through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people.
Build up, build up the highway!
Remove the stones.
Raise a banner for the nations.

The LORD has made proclamation
to the ends of the earth:
“Say to the Daughter of Zion,
‘See, your Savior comes!
See, his reward is with him,
and his recompense accompanies him.’ ”

They will be called the Holy People,
the Redeemed of the LORD;
and you will be called Sought After,
the City No Longer Deserted.

ISAIAH 62: 10-12

In the process of us “returning to the ancient path”, the highway has stones in the way that must be removed. I later found out that the corner street where I hit that rock in Fort Smith (or Western Gate) was called Albert Pike. He was the lead mason in the state and wrote the famous book “morals and dogma” for the Masonic movement that enshrouds the state in bondage to this day. How prophetic is that?!?! These must be cleared for the coming move of God to travel through the ancient highways and paths throughout the region and our night and day worship and prayer is clearing the way. These clear paths will result in the salvation of many many lost sons and daughters as the city will no longer be called Deserted but SOUGHT AFTER!!!

HAHA!!!!!!! I LOVE GOD AND THE WAY HE ALWAYS RESTORES!!!

We will be going for it again tonight in Tulsa and tomorrow morning!! Pray for another fresh wind to blow during these meetings and bring in a shift of seasons like we so badly need!

Kate, me and small team will be leaving Monday for a wild Middle East Tour through the nations of United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Turkey and Israel!! More info to come on this but please be praying for this journey as we take the fire of the burn into some of the darkest and most unreached regions of the world!

Keep it hot…

Just reading your comments about Salem, OR. Is this an on-going worship there and where?
