Testimony of June Burn!

Right at this minute there is a group of 9 elderly Baptist ladies that are performing choreographed worship dances and singing.  They have been going solid for almost 2 hours.  Their obvious leader and by far the most energetic is at least 90, no exaggeration.    I am in the sound booth emailing 3pmish.  They have really blessed me!!!  There is no boundaries at the Burn. 27 hours without a second of sleep and I’m loving it!!

I’m back 4pm; the Hopper’s, a local church worship team are playing now.  I really feel I am at the end of myself and it is an exciting place to be.  I am beginning to see how weak I am and this is only magnifying God’s strength.  There’s something building, there’s an expectancy in the air.  Not the normal church kind where I think we expect God to show up and perform party tricks for our giggles.  No, This is an exciting foreboding.

I have tried hard to focus on intercessing for churches and pastors but the weight of my spirit is shifting to the lost, hurting and hellbound. Jeremiah 3:12-14 keeps coming forth every time I open a Bible, any Bible anywhere in the church.  Every church and pastor will make a clear choice.  I was quickly rebuked when I asked for mercy for the churches. Mercy is weeping and justice is rising.  God’s heart is for the lost and hopeless, that’s why we have stood in the gap.  The churches need to harvest but they can’t stop building barns.  It’s hard to see them from our ivory, steeple-clad towers.  We see them every day in the real world but we wouldn’t notice them,  We are so focused on ourselves that there is little if any difference between us and them.  Some of them choose drugs or alcohol to band-aid their problems.  Our bottle is called Jesus and we take it twice a week.  Three times a week if we are really sick.

The expectant foreboding is the equipping of the remnant.  The Holy Ghost is preparing to fill His church to finish the race with a bang.  This is what Dave, Ryan, and the rest of the burn group in Mexico have experienced this last week and now.  We are waiting for it in the walls of our mortuaries but they are receiving it on the streets of a foreign country that is hungry for God not religion.  God has equipped them to do His will not theirs.  Do you want me to prove it?  Okay, 60 pastors from one city came together to worship in Mexico.  3 of 11 possible pastors here in Shawnee have bothered to come to burn with their own worship groups and only one has stayed more than 30 seconds past their slot.

I am not angry, I’m expectant and repentant. I am, I suppose ahead of many in the sense that I have a twinkling of an idea that I could miss what God is doing.  I suppose I am ahead because I realize that the revival that churches are seeking have nothing to do with them or us and everything to do with the world and God’s Kingdom.  The only reason we are seeking revival is selfish in nature or we wouldn’t bother.  Is that harsh?  Ok, well then what are we doing for the Kingdom of God that revival would enhance?  Let me guess, you can only think of your mission fund outside of something to do with YOUR property or church or denomination.  Do you really want revival?  Then begin to seek it for the Baptists or the Methodist’s or Pentecostals.  These have all burned bright for God and could again!! We want revival so people will come to us(God) but we won’t go or send!!!!

Pastor’s cry repent! If you love anyone in your church tell them their Christianity is not about sunday morning but a personal relationship where they seek the will of God over their own on a personal level as well as others.  Tell them it is laying down their lives every day and picking up the cross of Christ!  Tell them God sees them on saturday night even if you cannot!!  The corporate body of Christ is extremely important but does that have anything to do with you or your church?  If you think of your church as a corporate body then your answer is a resounding, NO!!  You have your own body and you are the head not Jesus!!!  If you are a part of the body of Christ then what other part do you enhance or strengthen.  Is most of our strength as a body working together to heal the soar that is ugly and needs attention.  The head tells the body where the problem is and then sends what it must to heal it.  And the body always fights enemies together.  What if your right hand fought an opponent and your left hand fought you!

God help me? Forgive us? destroy us to save us if you must.  Allow me to die from physical hunger if my spirit is fat and rejoices at the transition.  Take my gifts if I can have fruit!!

Let me die, if living will be Christ!!
